On November 25th the "Close up" Discussion Club will present "Jumping hornsfirst"- students' film, New Bulgarian University 2004. The film premiere coincides with the launch of the new series of discussions in the "Close up" Discussion Club. The short story about an absurd corrida during which a man is trying to triumph over his opponent through indecent means uses computer graphics and animation means of expression. The film combines classic drawn animation with contemporary computer and 3D animation and tries to explore their application in the field of the Visual. The question of the artists' attitudes to the new technologies and their usage for creation of an artistic product will be debated. Could an artist preserve his autonomy in relation to technologies and create an undeniable artistic product?

The authors of the film are students in the Animation Program at the NBU.
