 On December 9th "Go & See" - "Close up" Discussion Club will present the International competition for realistic painting"Balkan Artists 2004"- its concept, participants, nominated and awarded artists.

A presentation by Prof. Chavdar Popov revealing a competition jury member's viewpoint on the style, genre and thematic specifics of the submitted paintings, the competition's idea and possibilities for regular future organization of such Balkan forums.
More than 200 artists from 8 countries participated in the competition - Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro and Turkey. A jury including Prof. Chavdar Popov, Prof. Bozhidar Boyadzhiev, Prof. Gredy Assa, Souli Seferov and Ass. Prof. Georgi Lozanov nominated 8 artists - one from each country.
The international competition is organized due to the financial support by Arben Havaliov, owner of Nobile Holding.
The competition is supported by the Presidency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. President Georgi Parvanov bestowed the prizes on the awarded artists.
