A debate on the dynamics of the social role of the male individual
in societies in transition. How does he cope with the loss of
status, the equalisation of male and female roles is society and
in family? What is the specific psychological pressure on the
male individual? With the participation of: Ilia Iliev (social
anthropologist), David Ieroham MD (psychiatrist), Verginia Zaharieva
(psychotherapist). Moderator: Miglena Nikolchina. Point of view
of the painter Venzislav Zankov.
On 8th of March - the International Women's Day we will
try to analyze what happens with the social role of the Man in
times of transition. How does the Man deal with the everyday life,
how does he cope with the raise of unemployment, with the change
of the structure of economy where more "female" working
places are being open and "male" working places are
being cut?
More questions: What are the borderlines of the effectiveness
of the gender discourse?
What are the parameters of the psychological pressure on the contemporary
Bulgarian man?
Could we speak about typically "male" psychological
problems during the transition?
Ilia Iliev (social anthropologist) - "On the non-productivity
of the gender discourse for the analysis of the problems of our
society today"

of the equalization of the male and female social roles"
